Guðmundur Ingólfsson studied photography with Otto Steinert at Folkwangschule für Gestaltung in Essen, Germany, in 1968-1971, and was his assistant for a time. Guðmundur has run the Ímynd photographic studio since 1972, and has taken photographs of all kinds, but especially for advertisements and the theatre. Guðmundur is one of Iceland´s best-known photographers; his work has been widely published, and exhibited in many shows.
